Here are some modifications and stuff that I have done.
The Coolplate
This is Water cooled twin peltier beverage cooler. The idea is that the
plate gets cold and keeps cool what ever is on it. There are similar
things on the net but this is first I know that has two elements, is water
cooled and is completely standalone.
This project was large enough to been split it in the separate
sections. There are a lot of pictures from different stages of this
project and some information.
Blinking thing
Shortly, the casing is made out of 2mm plexi glass and the flashing triangles are made out of 5mm leftover parts of plexy glass. The flasher unit is from bar novelty toys. I
desoldered the leds, added some wire and glued them below the triangles. I
also added two additional leds for extra color. This was one of those
"too much time on my hands" cases. I think it came out ok.

The gifmovie
Bar cabinet
This is a bar cabinet to hold my booze. It is made out of 5mm plexi
glass and a few mirrors. Mirrors are placed back wall and the floor so
cabinet appears to be larger. The door is held closed with a magnet. When
door is opened the back wall cathodes and LED on the door lights up. After
the door is closed the LED lights up the tribal on the door and
stays on for a little while.

USB Docking station
This mod is designed for easy access to USB plug. I was tired for
grouching behind the computer every time I had to use plug in mp3 player
or other USB device. Its made out of 5mm plexi glass and painted on the
other side with shiny black and other neon green. Inside the station is UV
LED that gets it power from USB cord and light up the tribal.

Bottle opener rings
In Finland we have capped bottles that require an opener. Of course you
can open them with nearly anything but these things does it with style :)
also they are always available. These openers are carved out of stainless
steel pipe with dremel and a lot of patience. The "star" on the
other ring is phosphor powder mixed with glue and the "star" is
my schools student organization logo. The
other is from Babylon 5 it's the psicore logo.

Party necklace
This is a party/rave necklace that glows in the dark (and not so dark) pretty
well. It's made out of one blue super bright led and small 5mm piece of plexi
glass. The LED lights on when the "lock" is connected.

Audio plug switch
This was necessary because I had to split audio to speakers and for the
headphones with out going behind the cpu all the time. The box is 3mm
plywood hot glued together and sanded. This box I made a long time ago
when I still had woodshop classes.

Ceiling fan LED mod :)
This was a joke I wanted to try. It made the effect that I wanted but
was so unpractical that it had to be removed. There is rumor going on that
if you put those leds flashing in correct frequency, you can make the fan
appear to spin in other direction or stop it.

CD driver front cover LEDs
CD drive covers are replaced with 5mm plexi glass that has bio hazard
carved to it and its illuminated with green leds. Those dots under it are
fiber glass wires connected to leds inside the main cover.

Cell phone wall holder 1 and 2 I needed to find a way to have
my cell phone close by, in reach, not in the way and in line of sight.
This was my solution. Having it screwed to the wall with cool holder. The
first one was for Nokia 3310 with led lighting the symbol at the top and
the second is for SonyEricsson Z600. Z600 was left without the led because
it was unpractical for this type of charger. It is how ever self reeling
when connected to the phone.

Biotube
project
This is a joke mod for someone. a Biohazard tube inside
container. It is also lighted with led when caps are pressed down. Also
the light looks cool when going thru the liquid. The liquid is antifreeze
coolant.

Heartagram
coin The music video from Finnish band called HIM inspired me to do
this. This was also excellent chance to try out casting techniques with
tin. I carved two sides of the coin in to the mold and then poured in the
hot metal. The carving part didn't go as planned but rest of it went ok.
If I've had an access to a cnc machine, this would have been perfect. Oh
well there is always a next time.
